Heartland Women's Healthcare of Advantia is seeking talented Sonographers to join our Marion and Carbondale, IL offices. Our Marion office has 10 exam rooms, 2 ultrasound rooms, 1 procedure room, and 1 NST room. Our Carbondale clinic has 12 exam rooms, 1 ultrasound room, 1 procedure room, and 1 NST room. We are seeking individuals that are open to expand on and cultivate a great team environment within our sonography team! We are seeking full-time Sonographers that specialize in Women's Health.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician or their designated healthcare provider.
• Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed.
• Review the patient's medical chart prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images and videos required.
• Promptly communicate any abnormalities or concerns with the care team.
• Provide information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and respond to the patient's questions and concerns.
• Review images before sending them to the physician to ensure a clear image of the area requested.
• Soothe and reassure nervous or anxious patients.

Job Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography from CAAHEP accredited school.
• Current ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required.
• Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of experience as a sonographer preferred.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and functions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and care team.
• Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
• A friendly and professional demeanor is required when explaining procedures and processes to patients.

Please note compensation is based on years of experience.
