US Oil and Gas Market Analyst

We are looking for a talented and experienced commodity market analyst to join our

highly successful and fast-growing global markets team. We deliver real-time

analysis and insight on global markets to a broad client base that includes traders,

portfolio managers, economists and strategists on both the buy-side and sell-side.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly analytical, ambitious, and

enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. We are a team of experienced analysts,

researchers and former traders drawn from energy/utility companies, price reporting

agencies, investment banking, and research industries. We deliver our analysis to a

broad client base that includes traders, portfolio managers, economists and

strategists.

The principal responsibilities of this position include:

• Providing real-time analysis on energy markets covering US natural gas/crude/oil products with a particular focus on US gas markets.
• Interaction with clients during the trading day.
• Working closely with the senior energy analysts and the wider markets team covering gas and/or oil markets.
• Contributing to regular thematic research.
• Developing new analytical tools and research products.
• Developing market connections and managing existing relationships

Essential requirements for this role:

• Strong academic background: Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Economics, Finance or a related field, or other major supplemented with relevant post-college work experience) with minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. Higher level education (Masters degree) desirable.
• We are considering a wide range of experience levels from 3-years + with a particular focus covering US gas markets.
• Able to deliver insightful and actionable analysis in a pressured real-time environment.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
