Job Description

This job description has been prepared as a guide to ensure better communication, clear expectations and understanding of the role of Warehouse Supervisor. All responsibilities have not been included, Managers, may from time to time ask of you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this description. This description will be reviewed annually by the Department Manager and revised if needed to meet the business needs of ABC Technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees and monitors staff that move materials and ensure sufficient inventory of products to satisfy customer’s needs.
• Ensure effective utilization of production/warehouse area and control inventory counts.
• Meets optimum inventory performance objectives as defined by materials department.
• Works closely with other departments to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Plan value stream flow
• Scheduling of Production to meet customer needs
• Layout experience to ensure the proper layout is implemented and maintained
• Effectively organizing the warehouse to meet FIFO methods
• Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics department with regards to incoming deliveries of materials and supplies
• Enforces safety rules and regulations
• Coordinates physical inventory audits and accounting
• Develops and effectively implements warehouse and inventory monitoring systems and procedures
