Job Description

Make Food That Matters. Leave a Legacy on a Plate.

We’re looking for an Executive Chef with the experience, vision, and hunger to build something lasting - not just a kitchen, but a destination. We’re a bespoke catering venue and restaurant that draws nearly half a million guests a year, tucked away in the Texas countryside. We’re after a chef who lives to cook, and understands how to serve food with soul - at scale. We believe food should be honest, beautiful, and unforgettably delicious.

If you’ve been quietly writing poetry with fire and butter your whole career, and you can craft an experience with one perfect bite, this is your shot to do it on a bigger stage.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Chef located in Alpine, TX. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, developing menus, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring quality standards. Additional duties include managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all kitchen operations for both restaurant service and large-scale event catering (weddings, corporate retreats, seasonal celebrations).

• Develop and execute menus that balance vision, taste, and volume - ensuring nothing is frozen or phoned in.

• Manage and mentor kitchen and catering teams, maintaining excellence, consistency, and calm under fire.

• Source ingredients with care, handle procurement, inventory, vendor relationships, and food cost strategy.

• Collaborate with ownership and event teams on tastings, menu presentations, and guest experience

Qualifications

A seasoned Executive Chef or top-level Sous with a track record in fine dining and/or high-volume catering.

• Strong grasp of kitchen operations - technical knowledge and instinct.

• A genuine, obsessive love for food - flavor, ingredients, and the craft.

• A creative mind, resourceful spirit, and willingness to get your hands dirty and your apron stained.

• A degree from a culinary institute or formal training program is preferred, but we care more about what’s on your plate than what’s on your résumé.

• Willingness to relocate to rural Texas and be part of something meaningful.

•Experience in a high volume fast paced kitchen is necessary.

• Knowledge of health and Safety Regulations necessary.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Compensation & Perks

• This is a Salaried position with uncapped commission bonuses based on catering/event revenue.

• Time Off Generous 4–6 weeks of paid vacation per year.

• Relocation Support: Provided for out-of-state candidates. For in-state applicants, relocation assistance may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

• Staff Meals Benefit, Health insurance is available.

• Please note: H-1B visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

This is a chance to cultivate something lasting. To build a kitchen where the work is honest, the flavors are loud, and the plates speak louder than words ever could.

If that sounds like home, we’re ready when you are.
