Job Description

Chesapeake Search Partners has partnered with our commercial services client who is seeking an experienced Fleet & Technology Asset Manager to oversee the full lifecycle management for both fleet & technology assets. This includes the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of the company's vehicle fleet, as well as managing all IT assets, including computers, laptops, tablets, and telephones. This role ensures cost-effective fleet operations, optimal utilization of IT equipment, and proper asset tracking.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of company vehicles
  • Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of all fleet-related expenses, mileage, and performance metrics
  • Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics mileage to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, licensing, and insurance requirements
  • Oversee the procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal of all IT hardware, including computers, laptops, mobile devices, and telephones
  • Develop and maintain asset tracking system to monitor the lifecycle of all technology assets
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the proper deployment and utilization of technology assets
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware-related issues and coordinate necessary repairs or replacements
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of technology assets to identify areas for improvement
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors for fleet leasing, maintenance services, IT hardware, and telecom providers
  • Prepare and manage budgets for fleet and technology asset management
  • Generate regular reports on asset performance, utilization, and costs and provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in fleet management, or related operational roles
  • Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, procurement, and compliance regulations
  • Experience with IT asset tracking software and procurement processes
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work cross-functionally with different departments.
