Location: Near Chester, South Carolina

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) with critical care expertise to join a dedicated team for a locum tenens assignment in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced NPs looking to provide top-notch care in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Neurocritical Care
• Schedule:
  • Night shifts only (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • 10 to 14 days per month, 5 consecutive days preferred
  • No weekday or weekend on-call duties
• Duration: 6-month block with potential for intermittent monthly assignments
• Orientation: 16 hours provided (non-billable)

Patient and Caseload Information:

• Patient Demographics: Adults only
• Average Patients per Day (per NP):
  • Total: 7-8
  • Admissions: 3
  • ICU: 8
• Support Staff:
  • 3 physicians onsite at all times
• Facility Details:
  • 16-bed ICU
  • Hospital setting (Inpatient/Acute Care)

Required Experience and Skills:

• Current ICU experience
• Proficient in Central Line and Arterial Line procedures

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Infectious Disease, Hematologic Disorders, Surgical Care, and Suturing

Requirements:

• Licensure: Active South Carolina NP license (no exceptions)
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (required)
  • BLS (required)
• Other Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
  • Familiarity with Epic charting preferred

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate

Additional Information:

• COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted).
• No new licensing applications accepted; candidates must hold an active South Carolina license.
