Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of die cast machines and related equipment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, and be comfortable working in both production and machine shop environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance on die cast machinery, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize machine uptime.
• Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, saws, meters, gauges, micrometers, and other hand tools.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, with a focus on trim press and die cast operations.
• Assist with die maintenance tasks and provide cross-functional support to machine shop activities.
• Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and team leads to ensure alignment across shifts.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with OSHA standards.
• Participate in fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a maintenance or technician role.
• Completion of a technical or trade school program or equivalent experience qualifying for industrial “journeyman” status.
• Must pass basic mechanical comprehension testing (BMCT).
• Preferred: Experience with Makino equipment and/or background in the die casting industry.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge in Hydraulics/Pneumatics, CNC, Electrical, Automation, and Mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools, meters, and computer-based systems to identify and repair issues.
• Solid understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance methodologies.
