Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI . You will transform raw data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and reports, enabling senior leadership to make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create data models and establish connections to various data sources.
• Optimize Power BI dashboards for usability and performance.
• Implement and maintain data security and access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI report and data-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
• Partner with senior leadership to understand reporting needs and perform necessary ETL to build effective tools in Power BI.
• This is an in-office position in Chicago, IL and requires on-site attendance.

Requirements

Specific Qualifications (Required unless otherwise noted)

• 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMIFS, INDEX MATCH, CHOOSE, etc.) preferred.
• Unquestioned integrity, ethics, and leadership values.
• Well-established interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
• Resourceful, innovative, and a self-starter who can take conceptual direction to execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service .
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes .
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Microsoft Access/database query experience is preferred.

Education (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
