Job Title: Quality Control Manager – Mechanical & Plumbing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee and implement quality assurance and control procedures for mechanical and plumbing projects . The ideal candidate will ensure that all installations, materials, and workmanship meet industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements . This role requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project teams to maintain high-quality construction practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality control program for mechanical and plumbing systems .
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards .
• Review and approve materials, equipment, and workmanship to meet established quality requirements.
• Identify and resolve quality issues , working closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel .
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Train and mentor field personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA safety regulations, and industry guidelines .
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address quality concerns and ensure project success .
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address quality deficiencies.
• Prepare and submit quality control reports and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the mechanical and plumbing industry .
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards .
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in quality control software and documentation practices .
• OSHA 30 certification preferred .
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred) .
• Quality control certifications (such as ASQ, CQM, or equivalent ) are a plus.

Work Environment

• Combination of office work and field inspections at active construction sites.
• Exposure to various weather conditions, confined spaces, and high elevations .
• Requires physical activity , including walking, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods .
