Job Title: Scheduler

Location: Richmond, CA - local candidates

Work Schedule: 4x10s (Monday-Thursday); extended hours required during Turnaround (TAR) periods

Start Time: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Level: Mid to Senior Level

Pay rate: $75 hr.

Special Requirements: TWIC, background check, drug screen, and valid ID required

Long-term position - temporary to direct.

About the Role:

PTS Advance is seeking a skilled Scheduler to support turnaround, capital, and maintenance projects in Richmond, CA. The Scheduler will play a critical role in project execution by developing and managing detailed schedules that ensure alignment across teams and project milestones in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Plan and support turnarounds and shutdowns, ensuring schedules align with key deliverables.
• Track and incorporate change orders into master schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain accurate, achievable timelines.
• Facilitate and lead schedule review meetings with internal stakeholders and clients.
• Provide daily/weekly reporting, progress updates, and variance analysis.
• Identify scheduling risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience with Primavera P6 in turnaround or industrial project settings.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and change management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead meetings and work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial sectors.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
