Essentially, we are seeking someone who has experience dispatching a fleet of trucks but also has experience at a manufacturing warehouse or plant facility.

Job Title: Plant and Truck Coordinator

Job Overview: As a Plant and Truck Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the plant facilities and managing the fleet of trucks used for transportation. This position involves coordinating various activities to ensure the smooth functioning of both plant operations and truck logistics. You will be required to implement safety protocols, maintain equipment, and optimize production and transportation processes to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant level work:

• Process environmental reports and report water sampling.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and costs.
• Implement and enforce safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Monitor equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure consistent production output.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any equipment or facility issues promptly.
• Optimize production processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Liaison between field personnel and work and back office.

Truck Fleet Workload:

• Review the fleet of trucks used for transportation, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet all safety standards.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall expenses related to truck operations.
• Maintain accurate records of truck activities, such as mileage, deliveries, and maintenance logs.
• Oversee the training and performance of truck drivers to ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing plant operations and transportation.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on plant and truck operations, including performance metrics, safety records, and budgetary expenses.
• Process paperwork for all accident reports, truck insurance, registration, inspection, MVT, HUT, DOT, IFTA and traffic violations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, engineering, or a related field [ Not Required but Desired]
• Proven experience in plant management and transportation logistics.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in plant operations and truck transportation.
• Proficient in using software applications related to inventory management and fleet tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
